DRB III scan tool available to the aftermarket

DaimlerChrysler has released its DRB III diagnostic tool for sale to the aftermarket. Until now, the tool and its supporting software and accessories have been available only to DaimlerChrysler dealerships. The tool includes OBD II programming for DaimlerChrysler products and captives.

"We've worked for about a year to get the DRB III ready for the aftermarket," said Richard J. Pershell, Electronic Validation Supervisor for Dealer Technical Operations. "Everything included in the Aftermarket Package is the same as the dealer gets." An optional accessory package includes remote update features and flash reprogramming CD and cards. The DRB III is available through SPX Miller Special Tools.
