MACS accepting award nominations

The Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide is currently accepting nominations for the prestigious Simon Oulouhojian, Sr. Technical Achievement Award, created to honor the legacy of the cofounder, mobile a/c industry leader and technical training advocate.

The award recognizes and encourages efforts by industry service technicians to work to attain a high level of technical knowledge and proficiency. The winner will be recognized at the MACS gird annual convention and trade show to be held in 2003 at the Marriott New Orleans Jan. 30-Feb. 1, and will receive an educational grant that can be used for clinic fees, books, videos or other materials used for mobile a/c and engine cooling system training purposes. The winner's name also will be inscribed on a plaque displayed at MACS headquarters.

Active MACS members may nominate any technician they believe has shown dedica tion to maintaining and improving his or her technical proficiency by seeking out and participating in training.
