The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has obtained the rights to the web address www.ase.com. The new web address will take the user directly to the ASE website. The organization's former web address of www. asecert.org will redirect the user to the new site, ASE staff e-mail addresses will remain with the asecert.org suffix until the changeover is complete.

Kal Equip has issued a new catalog of professional automotive diagnostic instruments. It features the company's line of battery testers, scan tools, diagnostic tools, multimeters, remote starters, circuit testers, timing lights, vacuum/pressure testers and test leads & accessories.

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) recently unveiled a major redesign of its website (www.asashop.org). Launched in 1995, the site now includes a reorganized format and interactive content, which provides a gateway for ASA members, industry professionals and consumers.

A comprehensive customer relationship-building direct mail program is now available for use by independent service center members of the MyRepairShop system. The program provides service outlets with a wide selection of mailer themes featuring seasonal graphics and high-- quality photography. A web-based library of promotional service specials can be accessed, allowing individual shops to combine their choice of specials and desired promotional pricing. A downloaded and printed proof copy is produced immediately.

Dayco has launched a new electronic catalog of automotive parts in the MultiView MVReader format. The catalog is installed on a computer from a CD for use as an offline document, but the format allows the user to connect via the Internet for updates. All catalog information is instantly available and easily searched for locating the right part offline. But when needed, the technician or sales representative can click an update button in the application and download changes. The application retrieves the updates, seamlessly inserts them into the document at the correct location and deletes outdated entries.

All kits contain the necessary components for complete clutch replacement service, including cover, disc, release bearing, pilot bearing/bushing, alignment tool, grease pack and clutch installation guide, plus Technical Service Bulletins specific to each application.
