Rather than redesign the Dodge Ram Van, the folks at DaimlerChrysler are replacing it with an existing Mercedes-Benz model. Available in other parts of the globe since 1995, the Dodge Sprinter will be offered in three wheelbases as either a cargo or passenger van. The only powertrain available is a 5-- cylinder, 2.7L turbocharged, 154-hp commonrail diesel matched to a five-speed electronic automatic transmission.
