Robert Bosch's "Dream TV Sweepstakes," which is running throughout 2003, provides a 60-cents-per-plug rebate on up to 24 Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs, plus the chance to win a Dream TV System. The fall 2003 test schedule for the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) TechCert program has been set for Nov. 13 and 20. The registration deadline for the tests is Sept. 19. Tests include diesel engine theory and operation, distributor fuel injection, inline fuel injection, rail fuel injection, turbochargers/blowers, injectors/unit injectors and diesel engine diagnostics. On Nov. 13, 2003, at several locations around the country, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) will hold its fall test session to certify technicians who install accessories on cars and trucks. Registration for the test closes Sept. 12. The SEMA program includes four modules: Zl/Electric Sunroofs, Z2/Body Exterior Components, Z3/Leather Interiors and Z4/Roof Treatments. To receive the SEMA credentials, installers must also pass the ASE A6 exam on electrical/electronic systems. The ASE tests are also scheduled for early November.
