To recognize "The Best of The Best" in new tools for the professional automotive technician, MOTOR Magazine publishes the 1992 Top 20 Tools Award winners. The criteria for selection are simple: The tool must be designed for use by professional automotive technicians, it must have been introduced to the market during the previous year and it must be unique enough to make the judges say, "Wow! How come no one ever thought of this before?" Eleven years later, still based on those three simple rules, the Top 20 Tools Awards competition continues to generate strong interest among tool manufacturers and readers alike.
