Tech recognized for excellence

Rick Allen of Hampton, New Jersey, has been named the TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/ASE Technician of the Year. Allen, owner of Rick Allens Auto Repair, is an ASEcertified master automobile technician with L-1 certification. He was selected for the award after meeting the criteria set by CARQUEST and excelling on the Spring 2003 ASE automobile certification exams.

"I am overwhelmed being named the TECH-NET/ASE Technician of the Year," said Allen, who has more than 30 years of experience. He's the father of two and deeply involved in local youth athletics and community programs.

Allen will be presented with a trophy and a gold ring, and will be coGrand Marshal of the 2004 CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series event in Charlotte.
