Motor celebrates. . .with cars, of course!

Motor,  Nov 2003  by Nash, Tom

To celebrate its 100th birthday, MOTOR threw itself a big party at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, Michigan. The lavish estate was built in the late Twenties by Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of auto pioneer John Dodge, and her new husband, lumber baron Alfred Wilson. The estate also plays host to the annual Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance.

Naturally, we invited some beautiful cars to join the party, as representative of elegant motoring over the past century. More than 100 Motor Information Systems employees and guests enjoyed a picnie lunch, toured the beautiful estate and drooled over the gorgeous cars.

Since most of these vehicles adorned the pages of MOTOR when they were new, it's only fitting that they played a part in our centennial celebration.
