MOTOR Magazine/ASE Top Tech Named

Motor,  Jan 2004  by Nash, Tom

Keith Jordan of Wellston, Ohio, was recently named the MOTOR Magazine/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year for 2003.

Jordan, an ASE Master Technician at Ricart Ford/Lincoln/Mercury in Chillicothe, Ohio, was selected for the award based on his being the highest scorer nationally on all eight basic ASE automotive certification tests, plus the L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Test.

Accompanied by his wife Jeannie, Jordan was honored with the award by MOTOR Publisher and Editor John Lypen on Nov. 14, 2003 at a special ASE event in Florida.

Jordan has been an automotive technician for 18 years and enjoys his current job, where he specializes in driveability, electrical and electronics repairs. He says the best thing about being a technician is the "challenge of different problems to solve, day by day, and being able to help people."

A Ford Senior Master Technician with advanced training on General Motors, Toyota and DaimlerChrysler vehicles, Jordan also holds an Associate Degree from ITT Technical Institute. Regarding ASE certification, Jordan said, "It's a standard of recognition for your abilities and increases your employment potential."

We at MOTOR salute Keith Jordan for his outstanding achievement.
