>In our August article "Coolant Confusion," we identified Prestone as "American yellow gold," which, like "American green," contains silicates and phosphates. Since we wrote that article, Prestone has reformulated its product. According to the company, "The new formula is compatible with all types of antifreeze/ coolant on store shelves, including conventional silicated technology, organic acid technology and hybrid technology coolants."
