Lincoln Technical Institute's Columbia, Maryland campus recently celebrated the Grand Opening of its BMW Service Technician Education Program (STEP). The school was selected by BMW of North America to be one of only nine facilities across the U.S. authorized to provide STEP training. The Grand Opening signifies the beginning of a new relationship between the school and the high-end automotive manufacturer.
"This grand occasion represents a major milestone in Lincoln Tech's over 50-year history," said Karin Cogswell, Executive Director of Columbia Lincoln Tech. Said Charles Klasman, Technical Manager, BMW: "We are proud to be opening this new facility with Lincoln Technical Institute. BMW selected the Columbia Campus to provide our STEP program training back in March of 2003. We feel that the school has constructed a first-rate facility capable of providing the level of training required for our comprehensive program."
