Suppliers Contribute to Car Care Campaign

Motor, Apr 2005 by Nash, Tom

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has donated $5000 to the "Be Car Care Aware" automotive maintenance education campaign in honor of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), the automotive aftermarket manufacturers' ally in supplying consumers the parts they need to maintain their vehicles. AASA is the aftermarket segment of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) and AWDA is a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA).

"Automotive parts manufacturers and warehouse distributors are partners in keeping America's motor vehicles running smoothly and safely," said Bob McKenna, president and CEO of MEMA. "Through the aftermarket supply chain, manufacturers and distributors keep the parts and products flowing to the anto service providers and consumers throughout this country. It is our pleasure to honor the AWDA and its members with our donation to this worthy industry-wide effort."
