MOTOR'S 14th annual Source Guide includes more of what you need, less of what you don't and remains a one-stop source for all the parts, services and equipment you need.
Welcome to MOTOR'S Source Guide 2006-our fourteenth annual directory of the automotive aftermarket, and the industry's only onestop shopping guide for all of your parts, services and equipment needs.
The Guide was designed to be used often, and we hope that when next October rolls around, it'll be one of the most worn out things in your shop.
As has become our custom, this issue of MOTOR Magazine is split into two main sections-our editorial departments up front and our Source Guide in back.

Because our readers tell us they don't want to go without Bob Cerullo's timely advice, time-saving tips from Service Slants and all the other information they look forward to each month, we offer you a full lineup of all our regular columns. Speaking of timely advice, this month Bob offers suggestions for helping your customers and your bottom line in the face of skyrocketing fuel prices. It's something you can't afford to miss!
Since we wouldn't be satisfied to publish "just" a parts directory, the Guide also includes lots more reference information for important things like parts for old and discontinued car models, training resources, technical hotlines, automotive associations and more.
The very first page of the Guide, just before the fold-out tab divider, features a step-by-step user's guide aptly titled "How to Use the Source Guide." Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the layout and practice a few lookups. Invest a little time up front and you'll soon be sailing through its pages finding all the resource information you need.
We're constantly looking for ways to improve the Guide, and this year is no exception. Inside you'll find less clutter-we took fax numbers out of the Manufacturers Directory, for example (who faxes someone a question nowadays anyway?)-and added product category listings for new products like nitrogen tire filling machines.
Besides the printed edition you're holding in your hands, don't forget you also have 24/7 access to the online version of MOTOR's Source Guide, where we constantly make changes and updates throughout the year.
Whether you prefer the printed version or the electronic form, our goal is to make the Source Guide the single most convenient, most complete and most accurate place for all of your shopping needs. If we can do a better job, just let us know.
