ACDelco has announced a new extended subscription length for GM Service Information (GM SI). A new $20 three-day subscription replaces the former one- and five-day subscriptions, which were available for $20 and $45, respectively. The two other subscription lengths available are monthly ($150 per month) and annual ($1200 per year). GM SI is an Internet-based service available to ACDelco Total Service Support (TSS) Program participants and Independent Service Centers (ISCs) to assist them with diagnostic and repair information for the latest GM vehicles. The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) announced that 15 schools across the nation registered in October to utilize CCARs S/P2 e-leaming in Safety and Pollution Prevention in their automotive training programs. Jasper Engines and Transmissions has launched a new remanufacturing program. In addition to its current line of engines, JASPER Authentic Custom Drivetrains will specialize in remanufacturing engines that are currently no longer offered, or have been turned away in the past because they did not fit into a production remanufacturing system. The company also plans to add transmissions and differentials to its reman operations in the coming months.

To better educate and inform customers on the latest systems, products, guidelines and procedures in brake and chassis repair, Affinia Under Vehicle Group will make a series of training programs available to service technicians across the country.
