The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has released a new Parts Specialist self-assessment quiz as part of its popular TechQuiz series. This new quiz measures basic knowledge related to working in a retail parts environment. It consists of 50 multiplechoice questions in three content areas-Customer Relations and Sales Skills, Product Knowledge and Business Problem Solving. Parts Specialist is the fifth in the TechQuiz series, following Gasoline Engines, Drivetrains, Undercar and Electrical/ Electronics & HVAC. The quizzes are available through the ASE Campus online at www.asecampus.com. Each quiz costs $12.50. ASE also recently released its new section 609 Wizard to help service technicians determine their EPA-approved credentialing requirements for air conditioning service. It's designed to eliminate some of the confusion when working on a/c systems used in different types of vehicles. The section 609 Wizard also can be accessed from the ASE Campus website.
