Speaker Kerr then used the prerogative of the chair to ask for a suspension of the rules of the House to change the order of business to allow for a vote concerning regular institutional membership for Nevada College of Pharmacy, Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, and University of California San Diego School of Pharmacy. The House acceded to the request and adopted the following resolutions presented by the AACP Board of Directors:

WHEREAS, the Bylaws of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Inc. provide for various levels of institutional membership for schools and colleges of pharmacy; and

WHEREAS, the Nevada College of Pharmacy has requested membership in AACP;

BE IT RESOLVED that Nevada College of Pharmacy be received into the appropriate level of membership in AACP.

WHEREAS, the Bylaws of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Inc. provide for various levels of institutional membership for colleges and schools of pharmacy; and

WHEREAS, Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy has requested membership in AACP;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy be received into the appropriate level of membership in AACP.

WHEREAS, the Bylaws of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Inc. provide for various levels of institutional membership for colleges and schools of pharmacy; and

WHEREAS, University of California - San Diego School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has requested membership in AACP;

BE IT RESOLVED that the University of California - San Diego School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences be received into the appropriate level of membership in AACP.

Speaker Kerr called for the Chair of the Council of Deans, Marilyn K. Speedie, to present her report and the House voted to receive it.

Speaker Kerr called for the Chair of the Council of Faculties, Mary (Peggy) Piascik to present her report and the House voted to receive it.

Credentials Committee member Gayle A. Brazeau reported the presence of a quorum in the final report of the Committee. Brazeau reported that 152 of 173 credentialed delegates were seated.

Speaker Kerr called upon Bylaws and Policy Development Committee Chair Steven W. Leslie to present the remainder of the final report of the committee. Given that several resolutions in section A of the report would be affected by the proposed changes to the AACP Bylaws, Speaker Kerr used the prerogative of the chair to call for a motion to suspend the rules of procedure of the House for the purpose of changing the order of business to allow for a vote on the proposed bylaws amendments contained in the Final Report of the Bylaws and Policy Development Committee. The House acceded to the request and adopted the following amendments to the Bylaws submitted by the Board of Directors:

ARTICLE III. Members

SECTION 1. Institutional Members, Organizational, and Corporate Members.

Institutional Members shall be either Regular, Associate, or Affiliate. There may also be Organizational and Corporate Members.
