Eliminates this category of individual member. Category becomes irrelevant because of the first change in section 2
Affiliate members
This category encompasses all other individuals (other than students and emeritus members)
Student Members
Expands category to explicitly include graduate students, residents and fellows
Previous language has been unclear about whether all categories were eligible
Questions were raised on the classification of residents and fellows in the student membership category as some schools appoint these individuals as faculty members.

Provides for movement of a school to a lower institutional membership category if accredited status changes. Does so automatically. Suggests automatic reversion back though text is silent
Dr. Jeff Wadelin, ACPE Associate Executive Director, helped clarify the timeline for accreditation:
Pre candidate status- established college of pharmacy, dean hired but no students enrolled.
Plans to apply for candidate status (usual length in this category 1-2 years)
Candidate status-students enrolled, but no graduates
Combined maximum length of time in preaccreditation status (pre candidate and candidate- 5 years. If students are not approved for full accreditation, then must start again from the beginning
Full accreditation-program satisfies eligibility requirements and has now graduated students
Members who have pre-candidate status will become Associate members under the new by-laws.
Ms. Libby Ross stated that the level of membership does not affect participation in PharmCAS
Article IV
Dues
The House of Delegates determines the dues for regular and associate institutional and individual members
Article VII
House
Adds provision for appointment of one delegate (non-voting) from new Associate Institutional member schools
Nominations Committee Report
Dr. Bobby Bryant reported the following individuals have been slated for the position of Chair-elect:
Dr. Steven Leslie (University of Texas at Austin)
Dr. William Riffee (University of Florida)
Resolutions
Dr. Beverly Schmoll presented the new resolutions (see attachment)
Concern was expressed that there is only one organization on academic issues. Should professional organizations be encouraged to bring the resolution forward?
The resolutions were approved as written and will now move on to the Bylaws and Policy Development Committee.
Legislative Report
Mr. Will Lang gave the Legislative Report:
Encouraged deans to continue to develop relationships with congressional members
Announced a change in strategy- will not giving deans a packet of information any longer; encourages deans to discuss issues most important to your school or college
HHS/Department of Labor and Education appropriations bill approved by the House, passed through the Senate Committee, will be voted on by the Senate in September
Title VII received less than full funding
Funding for Indian Health Services: $620,000 to fund the program
Added $2 million dollars to increase the total to $27 million dollars for health professionals who want to work for the IHS
