What it is: This resource, written by Dave Livermore, international director of Sonlife Ministries, gives youth leaders a vision for Jesus-style discipleship.

The scoop: Livermore lays out his book in an effective way: The first section gives an explanation of the mission to make disciples, the second section studies Jesus' ministry, and the third section applies all this to readers' ministries. The book focuses on multiplication (making disciples who make more disciples) and describes Sonlife's ministry strategy. Livermore emphasizes the importance of building intentional relationships and expressing authentic love; he doesn't advocate insensitive proselytizing. Extras such as section summaries and reflective questions are included, but this book would have done even better to offer leaders further practical ideas. The book's greatest strength is that it keeps coming back to the question, "How would Jesus lead my ministry?"
