"I love your group Magazine... I've never come across a youth magazine so packed with blessings and info that was right on target for me today."

boys2men

I have to say that when I first saw this article title ("Guy Ministry," July/ August 2002), I didn't have much hope, but it was great! This article went to the core of the problem of church and boys. My son is a 6'2", intelligent young man, who has not seen relevance in his attendance at church or youth group, and points made in this article struck me like a wake-up slap in the face. Thank you so much... I'll be sharing it with my minister, youth group leader, fathers, and our men's group. We need to show young men God is there for them, too!

moby pick

I have a question for you. How do you figure that Moby fits in the "Christian-y Mainstream" category in the CCM part of your Web site (www .MinistryandMedia.com)? Have you checked out his "journal" page? Let's just say that I wouldn't be recommending my youth to check it out! There's quite a bit of language there that if he is a "Christian," I think he wouldn't win many votes with Christian parents and pastors if they went on his site.

rant on

Just a note to Rick Lawrence about the article "A Rant About Release Forms" ("Youth Ministry Minute," July/August 2002). I appreciated deeply the word from Mikal Keefer. I am actually working on personalizing the form to use in addition to our regular release forms. What an insightful parent! Thank you for allowing him to rant.

missing in the middle

Thank you for your often insightful material! I read it every chance I get... I've been leading a middle school ministry for over three years at a suburban church of about 1200 and am disappointed at what I think is a lack of meaningful and deep insight aimed specifically at middle ministry (not just games, activities to try, etc.). As you're no doubt aware, they're a "different animal" than high school students. Sometimes I come away from a read unchallenged because of this trend I'm seeing. I do appreciate you and just thought maybe this would make a difference in equipping/challenging/ informing youth pastors.

just reward

I totally disagree with that article ("Ban the Bribes," September/October 2002). This program-www.awana.org-- has worked perfectly for many years, and I'm amazed at the men and women of God it produces. Check it out!
