PRISON DODGE BALL TRY THIS ONE: GAME
Group, Jan/Feb 2005 by Nieuwsma, Anthony
Add a "prison" for more fun with this combination of Dodge Ball and Elimination.
Use two small foam balls and play this game using the rules of Dodge Ball, with the following exceptions: (1) there are no teams, (2) whenever a player picks up a ball, he or she has a pivot foot and must leave one foot in place while in possession of the ball, and (3) a ring of chairs in the center of the room serves as a "prison."
Make sure you have one less chair than you have players. A player must go to prison if...(1) hit by a ball, (2) another player catches a ball he or she has thrown, (3) the player runs while holding a ball, or (4) a player runs through the jail. A player who's in prison can be "freed" to play again if he or she catches a stray ball and is able to hit an active player with that ball. Also, players who have a ball in possession when they're sent to prison may take that ball into prison with them. Tell players they can be removed from the game for unnecessary roughness.
