Savin's three new digital imaging systems all offer copying, faxing and printing capabilities.
STAMFORD, CT- Savin Corp. recently introduced three new digital imaging systems designed to serve the increasing demands of the digital office environment. The 9935D, 9935DP and 9945DP-all with copying, faxing and printing capabilities-are the perfect all-in-one machines for almost any general office, small business or workgroup. These systems represent the newest generation of digital products from Savin, a leader in providing digital document-management solutions.
The 9935D, with a 4MB standard memory capacity, fulfills most basic business needs. The 9935DP, with an additional 8MB of memory, offers a duplexing unit and bypass tray. With 400 dpi copy resolution and 256 levels of gray scale, each model provides the superior document quality associated with the Savin name. These digital systems are packed with features such as 3,550-sheet total paper capacity, 25 percent to 400 percent zoom range, auto magnification, enlargement and reduction, electronic sorting and automatic paper selection. A unique archive feature, with 1.7 GB of memory or 32 page capacity, lets users store files directly in the system, providing quick, easy access to frequently used data such as maps, directions or specification sheets. The advanced design of the 9935D and 9935DP creates a shorter paper path, enabling fast first copy speed (3.9 seconds), low likelihood of paper jams, and easier access to parts during service. Both models have a continuous copy speed of 35 pages per minute.
The 9945DP has all the powerful features of the 9935DP, with an output speed of 45 pages per minute and first copy time of 3.2 seconds. In addition, this system offers two finishing systems: a 3,000-sheet finisher that automatically sorts and staples 50-sheet sets with a choice of three staple positions or a 1,000-sheet finisher that has one staple position and handles 30sheet sets.
With the fax option, each of these units is transformed into a fully loaded facsimile machine with advanced features such as dual access, image rotation, reverse-order printing and one-hour backup. Pages scan through in less than a second and transmit via a 33.6 Kbps modem in just three seconds. Fast, efficient faxing is supported by a 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder, a dedicated reception tray, and the ability to handle documents as large as 11 by 17 inches.
With the optional printer module (available in early 1999) the 9935D, 9935DP and 9945DP will serve as reliable, efficient network printers. At speeds of 35 and 45 pages per minute these products will outperform most dedicated laser printers available today. Their 600 DPI printer resolution ensures excellent document quality for laser prints up to 11 by 17 inches. Scalable typefaces and optional PostScript fonts provide users with design flexibility. For added convenience, finished printer documents are delivered in complete sets-collated, duplexed and stapled-to each system's optional finisher unit.
