Where there's a cause, there's a way

Dolphin Blue is the first supplier in the Southwest to carry 100% post-consumer recycled PCF paper for envelopes.

DALLAS-Dolphin Blue, based here, reported that it is the first supplier of environmentally responsible office products in the Southwestern United States to carry a 100 percent post-consumer recycled PCF (Processed Chlorine Free) paper used in the manufacturing of envelopes. The envelope is uniquely suited for companies that send remittance envelopes in monthly statements, and is available in a regular gum or latex-seal, with a self-adhesive closure.

Being 100 percent post-consumer recycled, this paper is made completely from waste paper rather than traditional virgin fiber paper used by companies around the globe. In addition to the fact that trees are not needed in supplying the pulp for the manufacturing process, the new paper eliminates landfill waste, less energy is consumed along the way, and the time and money spent in collecting consumer and business waste paper is optimized through production of envelopes with this paper.

"One of the other great benefits in using this envelope is that it is processed chlorine-free and, when using a soy-based ink, the actual printing process requires less harmful solvents in cleaning the press after the printing process," said Kemper. "Chlorine-containing compounds have been associated with adverse effects on human and animal health with gene-altering elements that can be harmful to adults and children."

Dolphin Blue provides only environmentally responsible office supplies, including copier paper, corrugated containers, paper products and remanufactured toner cartridges.

Kemper, president of Dolphin Blue, started the company in April 1994 based on his vision of preserving precious resources while providing quality products to the ever growing, concerned business marketplace wanting to use environmentally responsible products.

Notable clients include United Parcel Service, the U.S. Postal Service, Goldwell Cosmetics, AMS Productions, WB33/Fox Network and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Dolphin Blue is a member of the Chlorine Free Product Association, Clean Texas 2000, the EPA Green Lights Program, Dallas County Corporate Recycling Council and the Recycled Paper Coalition.
