Online legislative action center introduced

Office World News, Nov 1999

LAGUNA HILLS, CA-The Manufacturers' Agents National Association (MANA) is going through a period of very exciting growth and change with their online services. MANAonline.org launched a Legislative Action Center, effective October 1, 1999.

"Write To Congress" is the focal point of what makes MANAs Legislative Action Center of critical importance to independent sales agents and manufacturers who outsource their field sales. This center allows users to obtain information about important issues and pending legislation. The program then searches for the user's representative or senator and composes an editable e-mail message to the legislator so MANA members can alert their congressman of the consequence of legislative issues on their businesses.

In addition to the convenient and informative "Write To Congress" program, MANAonline.org's Legislative Action Center lets users search Congress by name, state, committee or leadership directory. It also provides an Action E-List that will notify members when they can make a critical difference on significant issues.

Important issues, current bills, and day-to-day floor debate announcements are constantly updated. Previews of current issues before Congress affecting the independent rep currently online include the job Training Bill, Small Business Liability Reform, and MANNs Opposition Position to the Independent Contractor Clarification Act.

Powered by Capital Advantage, MANNs Legislative Action Center is free to users who visit the website at: MANAonline.org and click on "Legislation Important to You."

MANA was formed in 1947 as a nonprofit association to serve agents and manufacturers by promoting and improving the agency/principal method of marketing. More than 6,700 members work together to promote and facilitate professional integrity and mutual profitability.
