Fibermark reports earnings
Office World News, Nov 2000
BRATTLEBORO, VT-FiberMark Inc., reports that net earnings per share for the second quarter ended June 30, 2000 increased 3.8% to $.55 on net income of $3.8 million compared with $.53 on net income of $4.2 million for the comparable 1999 quarter. For the second half of the year, the company expects pressure on profit margins to intensify due to the typical seasonal downturn in business levels, pulp costs, and some one-time expenses connected to new capacity start-ups at several company facilities.
FiberMark is a leading producer of specialty fiber-based materials meeting industrial and consumer needs worldwide.
