Xplor international's Keith Davidson retires

Office World News, Nov 2000

TORRANCE, CA-Xplor International: The Electronic Document Systems Association, has announced the retirement of Keith T. Davidson, Ph.D., EDPP, effective Oct. 26. Davidson has acted as senior adviser for the 5000member industry association since July 1, 2000, and was president of the association for 15 years.

"My retirement has been planned for more than two years," said Davidson. "The original retirement plan called for me to transition from president to senior adviser and serve for 18 months in that position. However, I find that an advisory role is not one that suits my style, which is based on a very high-level of focus and commitment. Consequently, I have resigned so that I will be able to devote full time to my speaking and writing ventures."

Sue Lach, EDPP, Xplor chairman of the board, said, "All of us in this industry appreciate Keith's years of enthusiastic and vigorous leadership. We have long admired his great range of societal and business interests. We respect his desire to pursue his own personal interests and we wish him well."

Speaking on his many years with Xplor, Davidson said, "One of the great joys of working in the Xplor community has been that despite the intense focus of the Xplor curriculum, there has always been great concern for the effects of technology in our companies and in our lives. I am eager and pleased that my Xplor experience has prepared me to focus my studies, my writing, and my speaking on the broader aspects of technology's effects on our work, our businesses, and our lives.
