Samsung hits one million monitor mark

SAN JOSE, CA-Samsung, manufacturer of CRT and TFT monitors, has achieved another milestone by becoming the first company in the world to sell 100 million computer monitors.
Samsung, which began I monitor production in 1981 and has maintained the number-one worldwide market share for the past thirteen years, sells displays under both the award-winning SyncMaster brand name and as an OEM to many of the world's bestknown PC and display vendors. Samsung is inviting consumers to help celebrate this company milestone with its "100 Million Monitors Sold Grand Celebration Sweepstakes."
The Grand Prize is the Samsung SyncMaster 240T, the world's first 24" HDTV Ready analog/digital LCD monitor. Consumers are able to enter online at www.samsungmonitor.com and via mail-in registration cards available at participating U.S. retailers. Ten lucky consumers will win the First Prize, Samsung's Sync Master 150MP monitor.
The 15OMP is the world's first 3-in-1 TV-- TFT monitor-a computer monitor, stand alone TV, and video display device. 100 high-tech gurus will take home the Second Prize, Samsung's Yepp MP3 player. The sweepstakes runs through June 30, 2001.
