Intec & TRIMEGA form TriTec partners
Office World News, Jun 2001
INTEC AND TRIMEGA, two computer and office supplies buying groups, announced the formation of TriTec Partners, LLC in a strategic alliance designed to better serve their common members.
The formation of TriTec Partners unites the interests of INTEC with TRIMEGA. Together, the groups will have offices in 80 locations, a customer base of 164,000 active accounts, and combined sales in excess of $1 billion.
Leaders of both organizations confirmed the partnership and TriTec will begin operations from headquarters in Des Plaines, IL.
Dennis Hardy, president of INTEC calls the partnership a natural collaboration. "This is another step toward connectivity for our members. This partnership connects them to a wider distribution system and many new collaborative opportunities. It is a win-win for all sides."
The partnership of INTEC and TRIMEGA brings to both groups a wider distribution channel nationally, greater opportunities for joint marketing, and significantly stronger negotiating power among common suppliers. The alliance will also allow members of INTEC to participate in contracts with BPGI (Business Products Group International), a worldwide consortium of office supplies buying groups, of which TRIMEGA is a member.
