Xerox expands partnership
Office World News, Jul 2001
NEW YORK, NY-Xerox Corp. strengthened its Business Partner Program (XBP) with the addition of a new partner and the introduction of solutions that extend the functionality of Xerox products.
Control Systems, providers of expense management and cost recovery, have joined XBP as a member of the program that joins value-added resellers, independent software vendors, value-added distributors, and system integrators with Xerox resources including engineers, sales professionals, and support staff. Xtrak, a solution that gives customers control of expense management activities in the office such as cost reporting on copying, printing, faxing, and scanning on Xerox Document Centres, is a result of the new relationship.
Xtrak is an external, server-based accounting system that complies with Xerox network accounting. It manages reporting capabilities on an unlimited number of Document Centres and can be accessed through a workstation or by walk-up users through the device keyboard. The system performs daily retrieval of Document Centre transactions and downloads and stores the data each night. Control Systems' Lasertrak print control software, integrated with the Xtrak application for Document Centres, can manage all other brands of printers and digital copiers on the network, giving customers an enterprise-wide solution.
