VTP Battery Protection
Raychem Corporation has introduced three additions to its PolySwitch VTP Battery Protection line, based on innovations that clear the way for more compact, high-power battery packs with NiMH and LiIon chemistries. The VTP170XS circuit protection device is the first low temperature VTP device narrow enough to fit into 6mm wide prismatic cells. The VTP20OX and VTP20XS devices feature a uniqueright angle form factor designed to minimize the number of interconnections with the printed and flex circuit boards in battery packs. Prices start at 30 cents, depending on order volume.
