New 6-volt deep cycle battery

East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., has introduced a newly designed 6V, deep cycle battery, the Deka Power Master, designed for use in personnel carriers, aerial and scissor lifts, golf cars, electric vehicles, boats, RVs, floor scrubbers, road signs, and other applications requiring 6V, deep cycle power.

The battery's increased performance is due to the use of a reformulated high density oxide paste and heavier grids. Additionally, thicker plate straps lower internal resistance, expanding the battery's life potential.

The cell's positive plates are wrapped in dual-insulated, glass mat, "deep pocket" envelope separators which protect the plates and lock active material to the grid to retard shedding and prevent shorts. The glass fibers also strengthen the plate.

Power Master is available in two different capacities and three different terminal configurations, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications.
