USA: BOLDER reports organizational changes

Advanced Battery Technology, Nov 2000

BOLDER Technologies Corp., Golden, Colorado, announces that Paul C. Kelly, currently BOLDER's financial controller, has been appointed chief financial officer, effective October 9, 2000, replacing Joseph F. Fojtasek, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Kelly, a CPA, joined the company in February 2000. Prior to that, he was with the public accounting firms Price Waterhouse and Arthur Young, served in a number of key management positions with Coors and its affiliated companies, and, most recently, was CFO at CET Environmental Services.

BOLDER Technologies Corp. manufactures and markets advanced, high-power rechargeable batteries based on its patented Thin Metal Film (TMF(R)) technology. The company is developing and commercializing consumer and OEM battery products with the TMF technology, including the SecureStart^sup TM^ Portable Jump Starter, that use proven leadacid electrochemistry in a proprietary configuration with a higher power density than any commercially available rechargeable battery.

The company's newest product, SecureStart "SideKick 900" intelligent marine starting battery system, was successfully introduced at the Boating Show in Orlando in September and will be available for retail sale by March 2001 to support next year's boating season.
