Advanced Battery Technology,  Apr 2003

Bert W. Wasserman is joining Arotech Corp.'s board of directors as a director and chairman of the audit committee. The company believes that Wasserman qualifies as an "audit committee financial expert" under new SEC and Nasdaq regulations.

Wasserman served as executive vice president and chief 'financial officer of Time Warner Inc. from 1990 until his retirement in 1995 and served on the board of directors of Time Warner, Inc., and its predecessor company, Warner Communications Inc., from 1981 to 1995. He joined Warner Communications in 1966 and had been an officer of that company since 1970. Wasserman is a director of several investment companies in the Dreyfus Family of Funds and also of Lillian Vernon Corp.

In welcoming Wasserman to the board, Arotech Chairman and CEO Robert S. Ehrlich commented, "Wasserman joins us at a turning point for our company. We are now focused and committed to the defense and security business, and his vast business and financial experience will be invaluable as we grow our newly renamed company."

Arotech Corp. operates three business subsidiaries: Electric Fuel Batteries -developing and manufacturing zincair batteries for military and homeland security applications; IES Interactive - advanced high-tech multimedia training systems for law enforcement and paramilitary organizations; and MDT Armor - vehicle-armoring for the military, industrial and private sectors. Electric Fuel Batteries also continues to develop electric vehicle batteries for zero emission public transportation.
