Hansen Becomes Electric Fuel Battery President

Graydon Hansen has been appointed president of Electric Fuel Battery Corp. of Auburn, Alabama. He joins the company's management team with extensive experience in engineering and operations and a wealth of knowledge in the field of power supplies and batteries.

Hansen's experience includes senior management positions at Elpac Electronics and Trojan Battery Co. His background also includes engineering and technical management experience at Lockheed Missiles and Space, AER Energy Resources, Micro Power Electronics and Advanced Charger Technology. He holds a BSEE from the University of California in Berkeley and is a registered professional engineer.

Arotech's Electric Fuel Battery Corp. subsidiary manufactures and sells zinc-air fuel cells, rechargeable batteries and associated chargers for the military. The new appointment is part of Arotech's goal to expand the activity of the subsidiary and contribute to the success of its Battery and Power Systems Division.

In other news, Arotech Corp.'s Battery and Power Systems Division has received a pilot order for its new fourth generation man-portable zinc-air battery packs from the U.S. Air Force. Developed and manufactured by Electric Fuel Battery Corp., the new battery pack is a 12V or 24V battery with 400Wh total capacity and 300Wh/kg battery energy density. The new pack is optimized for use in portable tactical radio vests, and is also designed for use in rucksacks.
