Saft Receives Honors from Frost & Sullivan

Saft has received the 2005 Battery Company of the Year Award for excellence in the industrial battery arena from Frost & Sullivan market research firm.

Frost & Sullivan also presented Saft with the 2005 Technology Innovation Award in the world industrial secondary lithium battery markets based on its work with the Intensium® telecom backup battery.

"This award is bestowed on the company that successfully develops a product that is believed to provide a unique set of benefits over existing products on the market," said Dhiraj Ajmani, healthcare industry manager with Frost & Sullivan.

"As the world leader in the specialized battery market, we have an obligation to set the standard for technological innovation," said John Searle, Saft's president and CEO.

Intensium is a IU rack-mount lithium-ion battery system for backup battery applications.
