Letters to the editor
Spiritual Life, Summer 2000
Happy to Hear from All of You....
It is time to inform you how helpful this booklet (spiritual life) is to me. I experienced the death of my father...and have continued to struggle to trust again. L..have been encouraged by many experiences as a single person, but mostly as a couple with my wife,...including Marriage Encounter and Retrouvaile, Scripture Study, etc. Through your publication I have come to know kindred souls like Therese and others. The Fall 1998 issue was and continues to be encouraging-a source of healing grace for me, my wife, and family. May God continue to bless you, your staff, and your holy work.

Thank you for sending me-an indigent Texas prisoner-your marvelous publication. What a blessing it is, with very thoughtful articles. I thought I knew something of history and the French Revolution, but I had never heard of the Carmelite martyrs of Compiegne, and I feel relatively certain, sad to say, most other Catholics haven't either. A deeply touching story. Excerpts from Dr. Bush's book were historically and religiously informative, as well as fascinating. Write on!
R.Z., Texas
I write to thank you for the copies of the Spiritual Life I have received since the fall of 1996, courtesy of a friend.... Although St. Therese is one of the Patrons of my religious community, I had not really known much about Carmelite Spirituality. The Spiritual Life periodical has done much to open me up to the riches of your spirituality.
I take time to read and study each edition carefully because of the spiritual enrichment I derive from each article. The Reviews and Notices I very much like to read also but regrettably it's not possible to find these good publications here in my country. Once again, thank you for the good work you are doing through the "Spiritual Life" publication. May the Lord sustain you to continue this good work.
