13. Listings shows the total number of full-time faculty and part-time faculty, in most cases as of Jan. 1 2004.
14. Figure refers to the total library collection. In most cases, reported collections include printed volumes, micro-units, electronic titles, paper and electronic serials and periodicals.
15. Enrollment figures are for the fall 2003 term. The figures are reported by institutions based on a headcount of full- and parttime degree enrollment in undergraduate and graduate degree programs and full- and part-time non-degree enrollment.
16. Admissions Information is presented in a brief narrative and may include: examinations required by institutions as part of the admissions process or for placement after admission; application deadlines and fees for first-year students; and information regarding special admissions programs and related deadlines. The admissions office telephone number, email address and website address are also provided.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam is not generally listed; however most institutions require the exam of students for whom English is a second language.

Some of the more popular special admissions programs include:
Early Decision, in which the institution provides early notice of admission and requires a non-refundable deposit if the student accepts the offer; and Early Notification, in which the institution give early notice of admission and requires that students make a deposit that is refundable if the student decides not to attend.
