Carter copter
Flight Journal, Jun 1999 by Anderson, Rod
On February 6 and 7, the CarterCopter flight-test program made a breakthrough when it made its first, successful, flights. The chief test pilot Don Farrington said, "... the CarterCopter felt right," and he flew it up and down the runway during the two days of tests and almost two hours of flight time.
The flight envelope was expanded to an altitude of 120 feet and a speed of 105mph during a test that consisted of large S-turns and covered a distance of more than two miles. All the landings were reported to be "... beautiful." For more information and photos, visit our website: www.cartercopters.com. -Rod Anderson
