Hollywood heights
Flight Journal, Dec 2000 by Farmer, James H
Hollywood strikes again! In July, the four B-25s that will be featured in the concluding moments of Disney's reported $130 million epic, "Pearl Harbor," were spotted on the Chino Airport ramp. They will be flown in a re-creation of the famed Doolittle Raid, and though their bogus serial numbers fall within the B-25B block used by Doolittle and the period insignia are correct, that's about as close as these movie Mitchells will probably get to the genuine article. The late-model, 1944-era B-25Js have forward-mounted dorsal turrets and waist- and tail-gunner positions.
