Yak pilots' club

Air Classics, Nov 1998

The Yak Pilots' Club has over 300 members in 17 countries and is now in its sixth year of operation. Members include pilots and owners of Yakovlev-designed aircraft, including the Chinese CJ6 (a variant of the Yak 18A) and several Sukhoi and homebuilt aircraft owners that use the Chinese Huosai-6 or Russian M-14P (and their variants) engine.

The organization is also a member of FAST (Formation And Safety Training) and has established regional Formation Teams and holds Formation Clinics for Warbird pilots. The organization issues four newsletters a year, an annual membership list for those who want to be included, a parts and service directory, and emergency notices as they affect the aircraft types included in the organization. Annual dues are $25 for US members and foreign members have to pay additional mailing costs. For more information contact the Yak Pilots' Club at POB 16456, Rochester, NY 14616.
