Swamp Angel

Air Classics, Sep 2001

Going back through some old Air Classics, I came upon the June 1986 issue which had photo of a Stinson L-5 restored by Brian Thorpe. The aircraft was authentically restored in the markings of the 25th Liaison Squadron (Guinea Short Lines) and was named Swamp Angel. My late husband, John M. Shannonhouse, was the pilot of the original Swamp Angel and I thought readers might enjoy looking at some photographs of the L-5s being operated in that little-publicized area of combat.
