Ghost of the lake
Air Classics, May 2003 by O'Leary, Michael
"At that time, I had no idea that I would eventually own the F4F-3. However, after flying the craft for 99-hr, Jim and Dick put the fighter up for sale and we entered negotiations. I purchased the aircraft in April 2002 and Matt Jackson flew the Wildcat from Illinois to Van Nuys in December 2002. The plane went into Pete Regina's shop for some additional work and we plan to have the aircraft out on the airshow circuit for 2003 with quite a few appearances.
