Jack Roush's Mustang honors Chuck Yeager

Jack Roush's P-51D USAAF s/n 44-74230 N51CY now wears its Glamorous Glenn 111 scheme which was applied in-house by Roush's crew at Willow Run Airport, Michigan. The aircraft had been assembled by American Aero Services, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, after having major work done by Art Teeter's CaIPacific AirMotive in Salinas, California. Previously registered N5446V, the aircraft had been owned by David Norland and was in storage for many years. The aircraft made a brief racing appearance as Race 76 No Name Dame, Yeager served with the 357th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, and this aircraft represents the final P-51D that he flew in combat. Jack Roush also owns P-51D USAAF s/n 44-74474 which is painted as Bud Anderson's OU Crow, also of the 357th FG. Both Mustangs are based at Willow Run.
