United States Airpower Musettm acquires four jets

Well-known Warbird collector David Tallichet has donated four of his aircraft to the United States Airpowcr Museum (4877 E. Norwich Ave., Fresno, CA 93726, 559-291-1239). Two of the planes are the SAAB J-32A Lansens (N5469V and N4432V) that have been in storage at the Mojave Airport for 13 years. The aircraft have been removed from the storage area and after inspection it has been determined that one will be returned to flying condition.

Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star N51SR has been at the military Aircraft Restoration Corp. hangar at Chino Airport and this aircraft will be returned to flying condition in the markings of the USAF Thunderbirds.

The fourth aircraft is an Indian-built version of the Folland Gnat known as the Ajeet. This aircraft saw combat with the Indian Air Force in a war against Pakistan and was also used in the film Hot Shots.
