1998 Helene Fuld fellowship recipient

The nursing faculty at Capital Community Technical College are pleased to announce that Lisa Tewskbury, a nursing student at CCTC, has received the 1998 Helene Fuld Fellowship. Lisa and 51 other outstanding nursing students from the United States were selected from more than 300 nominations to receive this fellowship offer.

Lisa will represent Connecticut when she attends the 17th International Cancer Congress in Rid de Janeiro, Brazil from August 24-28, 1998. She will also be honored at an Awards Ceremony at the 1998 Annual Convention of the National Nurses' Association in Cincinnati this April. Lisa is a second career adult student who has shown exceptional potential in her first year in the CCTC Nursing Program. The Selection Committee was especially impressed with her demonstrated leadership abilities as well as her academic and extracurricular achievements. Lisa was nominated by Judith Patrizzi, Barbara Aronson and the nursing faculty at CCTC.
