Season's greetings to all

Aboriginal Nurse, The, Dec 1998 by Bill, Lea

At this time of celebration of 'Good Will' I would like to extend my greetings and gratitude out to all the leadership and all support workers within the communities. Your presence and your dedication to making a difference in health care services makes the lives and work of many nurses across this country easier at times of great stress.

As a gift to all the following passage offers a reminder of the most beautiful tool and gift we have as human beings.

"For each of us, peace begins at home and, because we live in our bodies, the body is home. But more than a home the body is a sanctuary. It is the source of our energy, the abode of our feelings, the seat of our soul. It offers us a sacred place in which to dwell. By treating the body well, we create the foundation for inner peace."

Some essential ways to treating the body well are:

* See your body as a thing of beauty. * Honor it. * Respect it. * Energize it through various activities. * Give it time for peaceful rest. * Nurture it with wholesome food. * Pamper it, * Show thanks for the joy it brings you.

"How to achieve Peace of Mind" by Jony Dorsman and Bob Davis

During this festive season take time to honor this beautiful gift your body.

Wishing you all a safe and Merry Season!
