BG Sheila R. Baxter, MS, USA, is the new Chief, U.S. Army Medical Service Corps in a ceremony in San Antonio, TX on 17 May 2004 officiated by LTG James B. Peake, MC, USA. She has replaced retiring BG Richard L. Ursone, MS, USA.

MG Kenneth L. Farmer, Jr., MC, USA, is being reassigned to Commanding General, North Atlantic Regional Medical Command/Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. from Deputy Surgeon General, U. S. Army/Chief of Staff, U. S. Army Medical Command, Falls Church, VA.

BG Elder Granger, MC, USA, is being reassigned to Commanding General, 44th Medical Command/Corps Surgeon, XVIII Airborne Corps, Ft Bragg, NC. His previous assignment was Commander, European Regional Medical Command/Lead Agent TRICARE Europe/Command Surgeon, U. S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.

COL Carla G. Hawley-Bowland, MC, OSA, has been nominated for promotion to Brigadier General and selected for reassignment as Commander, European Regional Medical Command/Lead Agent TRICARE Europe/Command Surgeon, U. S. Army Europe and Seventh Arrny, Germany

RDML Nancy J. Lescavage, NC, USN, has been nominated for promotion to the grade of Rear Admiral. She is currently serving as Commander, Naval Medical Education and Training Command/Director of the Navy Nurse Corps.

Col Ardis J. Meier, USAF, BSC, has retired from active duty in a ceremony held at Andrews AFB, MD on 21 May 2004. She served as Chief Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for Pharmacy from April 2000 until her retirement. She also served as Associate Chief, Biomedical Sciences Corps for Pharmacy from November 1999 to July 2003.

COL Gale S. Pollock, NC, USA, has been nominated for promotion to the grade of Major General and assignment as Chief. Army Nurse Corps. In additions to these duties, she is also pending assignment as Commanding General, Pacific Regional Medical Command/ Tripler Medical Center, Honolulu, HI.

BG Ronald D. Silverman, DC, OSAR, is being reassigned as Commander, 3rd Medical Command, Decatur, GA from Commander, 804th Medical Brigade, Ft. Devens, MA.

MG Joseph G. Wetob, Jr., DC, PSA, is being reassigned to Deputy Surgeon General, U. S. Army/Chief of Staff, U. S. Army Medical Command, Falls Church, VA from Commanding General, Tripler Medical Center/Pacific Regional Medical Command/Chief, Army Dental Corps/ U.S. Army Pacific Surgeon/ Lead Agent, TRICARE Pacific, Honolulu, HI.

BG George W. Weightman, MC, USA, has been nominated for promotion to Major General and selected for reassignment to Commanding General, U. S. Army Medical Department Center and School, Ft. Sam Houston, TX. He previously served as Commanding General, 44th Medical Command/Corps Surgeon, XVIII Airborne Corps, Ft Bragg, NC
