The Amy Shelton and V. H. McNutt Professorship in Nursing in honor of the Nurses of the Armed Forces: A professorship to perpetually honor past, present, and future nurses of the Armed Forces was presented to the School of Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. With this endowed professorship, the V. H. McNutt Memorial Foundation trustees challenged the School of Nursing to match their $ 100,000 gift - dollar for dollar. At the successful completion of the match, the Trustees will consider increasing their grant by $50,000. This increase will raise the level of the endowment to that of a $250,000 "Distinguished Professorship." The recipient of this Professorship will be either a nurse who has served in the military and, therefore, knows the health related and nursing relevant issues for military concern, or a nurse who researches issues of interest to the Department of Defense. Interested parties can send a Contribution to this effort to: UTHSCSASN Development; 7703 Floyd Curl Drive, Mail Code 7923; San Antonio, TX 78229.
