RADM John C. Duffy, USPHS, Ret. has been invited to speak at The First International Conference on Field/Military Medicine, scheduled for 29-30 November 2005 in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences in collaboration with the King Faud Military Medical Complex. Duffy is a former Assistant Surgeon General in the Public Health Service and the Editor of Military Medicine. He is a Life Member.

N. Mack Sisson, has retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) after 40 years of service. His last duties were in the Office of Employee Education in the VA Central Office. He was awarded the secretary's Distinguished Career Award during his retirement ceremony. Mack was a long-time member of the AMSUS Dinners and Luncheons Committee and also served as the VA Rep to the Membership Committee. In 1996 he was a key participant on the AMSUS Strategic Planning Task Force, a major effort that resulted in the establishment of its first mission and vision statements and developed six major goal areas for the association to pursue.
