"I am passionate about excellent, sustainable health care for all clients. As much as the current nursing shortage is very difficult to deal with, it is forcing nurses to look at who we are delivering care to, how we are delivering it and why we are delivering it. I am a strong believer in chronic disease management, empowering clients to manage their own health and RN/LPN skills mix. With the new Health Professions Act, I feel this is an exciting time for nursing. It is our opportunity to let the public and other professions know what it is nurses can do."
District 5: Fraser South and East
Colleen Chapman, RN, MSN (elected by acclamation)
Colleen Chapman of Surrey is Coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Kwantlen University College. She has been a member of the CRNBC Board since September 2006. She is a member of the Gerontology Nurses Professional Practice Group and treasurer of the Canadian Gerontological Nurses of Canada. She served on the RNABC Professional Conduct Committee and Roster of Advisors and as a chapter president.
"With 25 years of bedside nursing experience, I know that the backbone and heart of health care is registered nurses and dedication to excellence in nursing care is evident in every practise setting. I am excited to have this opportunity to serve as a board member, to provide a nursing voice to the CRNBC Board and to relay information from the Board to registered nurses. My primary focus will be to support ongoing development of quality professional nursing practise environments to ensure patient safety and the ability of registered nurses to meet their standards of practice."
District 6: Fraser North
Christina Hutchinson, RN, BSN, MBA (elected by acclamation)
Christina Hutchinson of Coquitlam is a Clinical Care Coordinator at Fellburn Care Centre - Fraser Health where she is also a CRNBC workplace representative.
"I have been a registered nurse for 35 years and have completed both a BSN and MBA. I am employed as a clinical care coordinator at a complex care facility for Fraser Health. I am seeking a position as a board member because I believe that I can contribute to CRNBC in very positive ways. I have clinical, administrative and teaching experience and am able to take those experiences and use them to take an active role in the board responsibility areas. I am interested in representing the interests of District 6 to the best of my ability."

Having spent my entire career in rural nursing, I will continue to advocate for the rural perspectives at the board level."
District 8: Northwest

I was a board member during the transition from an association to a college and the enactment of the Health Professions Act.
