Georgia Nursing, May-Jul 2001
Money is available for the study of nursing and other health care professions in the form of service-- cancelable loans. These are loans that can be forgiven after graduation, over time, by working in Georgia.
The maximum amount of the loan is $3,000 a year. One year of work in the approved field cancels one academic year of loan assistance.
To be eligible for a service-cancelable loan, you must be accepted for admission or enrolled in an approved program of study.
Nursing studies at the undergraduate level that are approved for service-cancelable loans are: Nurse Anesthesia, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse (Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree and Diploma). Loans to study for a master's degree are available in Nurse Anesthesia and Nursing.
